The AMRU Post Basic BSc Nursing 2026 application form has opened, and it will close on 23 July 2026 for the academic session 2026-27. Candidates will be admitted based on the entrance test. There are two government colleges in the state and 24 private nursing colleges in Himachal.

AMRU Post Basic BSc Nursing 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Admission to the AMRU Post Basic BSc Nursing 2026 course will be based on the AMRU entrance test, and only female candidates are eligible.

Eligibility

• Candidate must be a registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM) with H.P. State Nurses Registration Council, Shimla at the time of admission.
• Himachali bona fide candidates who completed GNM outside Himachal Pradesh may register with HPNRC within 2 months after admission.
• Candidates from other states must be registered with their own State Nurses Registration Council and produce NOC for higher studies outside the state.
• Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 40% marks.
• SC/ST/OBC candidates need 35% marks.
• Candidate must have scored at least 50% marks in GNM from a recognized institution.

In-service Quota

• Only regularly appointed Govt. of HP BSc nursing cadre candidates are eligible, including adhoc and contractual candidates as per prospectus conditions.
• Minimum 5 years of service is required on the last date of AMRU Post Basic BSc Nursing 2026 application.
• Candidates must obtain a Provisional NOC-cum-Eligibility Certificate through proper channel from DME&R or DHS, Himachal Pradesh.
• This certificate must be uploaded with the online application.
• Only candidates with valid provisional NOC-cum-Eligibility Certificate will be allowed in counselling.
• Final NOC must be produced at admission.
• If Final NOC is not produced, the seat/admission will be cancelled.
